Jolokia is a groundbreaking boxing glove designed specifically for women, created by renowned designer Pierandrea Vasi. With a focus on both form and function, this glove combines innovative features and a stylish design to meet the needs of female fighters.

The inspiration for Jolokia came from the desire to provide female fighters with a professional-grade product that caters to their unique requirements. Vasi and his team developed a specific mold for girls, ensuring a perfect fit and maximum comfort. The innovative internal sewing system eliminates any relief parts on the outside, reducing the risk of injury during intense performances. Additionally, a new inside material was incorporated to absorb perspiration, keeping the hands dry and comfortable.

What sets Jolokia apart from other boxing glove designs is its attention to detail and the colorful, aggressive style. Vasi and his team focused on improving every aspect of the glove, from its form and materials to the stitching and technical details. The realization of Jolokia involved advanced technology and meticulous craftsmanship. The production process began with laser measurements to define the existing pieces, which were then used to redesign the 3D model. Multiple 3D prints were created before the final mold was produced. The glove features three different densities of polyurethane padding, providing options to suit different preferences and usage scenarios. The external part of the glove is made of leather pieces joined together with reverse stitching, ensuring durability and flexibility. The inner material is breathable, enhancing comfort during long training sessions or matches.

With dimensions of 140mm in width, 12mm in depth, and 28mm in height, Jolokia is designed to fit snugly around the female hand, offering optimal protection and performance.

Jolokia represents a significant step forward in the world of female boxing gloves. The Jolokia project began in January 2015 in Turin, Italy. After the initial concept design, a prototype was created by a Pakistani factory. The final details were refined, and production was assigned to the same company that produced the best prototype. The first production batch was used to sponsor the reality Fight Clubbing, and the gloves will be ready for distribution in September.

Extensive research was conducted to ensure that Jolokia met the specific needs of professional female fighters. The design team focused on improving the quality and performance of existing gloves, while also incorporating custom design elements. The result is a product that combines performance and fashion, catering to the demands of modern female fighters.

Overcoming the creative and technical challenges of designing Jolokia required meticulous attention to detail. The organic nature of the human hand presented difficulties in achieving the desired curves and dimensions while adhering to strict standards. However, after countless hours of fine-tuning and testing, the team successfully achieved their objectives. The final design was validated through tests on actual female fighters, confirming its effectiveness and comfort.
